Bob Marley didn't invent reggae music, but he made it famous worldwide. He mastered it, maybe even perfected it. He poured his heart and soul into it, and left this world way too soon! Coming up on its FORTIETH anniversary, his greatest hits album (credited to Bob Marley and the Wailers), titled 'Legend', was released in 1984. Nearly the whole world knows these songs! Bob Marley, the Wailers, and his wife and kids have helped make reggae music one of the planet's most loved and influential types of music!

In 1984, the hits album was given a proper picture disc release. It's the entire album, and on a 12" picture disc LP. The A side has the iconic Bob picture, and the B side is song titles and credits. The pic disc got reissued a couple of years ago, in celebration of what would have been Bob's 75th birthday. That's not what this one is. This one is the ORIGINAL 80s release! (Please remember, that 70s and 80s picture discs have a lot of surface noise, and sound pretty bad. They were created mainly to promote the record, and not necessarily to be played.) I have a Bob Marley CD bundle listed right now, here on eBay, that includes the deluxe edition of 'Legend', which includes a second disc of extended and remixed tracks, as well as the original album remastered, if you're interested in awesome sound quality.
