Description

(Bob Marley &) The Wailers 'Catch a fire' 1973 UK LP 1st pressing on Island Records label.  Run-outs stamped ILPS 9241A-3U (BML 2001 A-3U erased) & ILPS 9241B-4U (BML 2001 B-4U erased). Sleeve is vg+ condition with light general wear; mostly to edges but writing legible along top edge. There are a few light scuffs elsewhere on the surfaces of the cover an example of which is pictured. The hinge is strong as is the sleeve generally.  The original black inner was factory cut to fit the shape of the outer sleeve. One corner of the inner has been torn slightly due to the action of this sleeve mechanism.  The vinyl is excellent with nice clean labels; no spindle marks. Playing surfaces are nice and shiny with just light wear; the odd hairline/light mark that doesn't  affect play. Small amounts of light background noise occasionally. Excellent audio that would be further improved with a professional clean.  Very nice copy of a classic...
