From 1973,out of the UK, comes this ultra rare radio show by Bob Marley & The Wailers. It is entitled Pop Spectacular and is on BBC Transcription Services 133425/133426 UK DJ ONLY. This ultra rare radio show features Bob Marley and The Wailers singing reggae music live in the studio in London. The group features Bob Marley, Carlton Charlie Barrett, Aston Family Man Barrett, Peter Mackintosh(Tosh), Bunny Livingstone and Earl Wire Lindo.This was recorded as a one hour concert or it can be played as two half hour programs. The record comes with several sheets of information, including the sheet listing the artists and the group and talking about Bob Marley. On this concert program, Bob Marley & The Wailers feature music from their current LP, Catch A Fire as well as their upcoming LP. Included also are two copies of the cue sheets.The songs are: Rastafarian Chant (2:44), Slave Driver(3:02), Stop The Rain (4:01),No More Trouble (4:32), 400 Years(3:57), Midnight Raver(5:50). This is the end of the first half hour program. The second half hour program consists of:Stir It Up (5:03), Concrete Jungle(6:45),Get Up Stand Up (4:15), Kinky Reggae(4:15). This is the end of program 2. I haven't mention the various applauses that come in at different times. The versions of the songs are different than the standard released versions, as this was recorded by the BBC in London in their studios.
The album and the cue sheets are housed in their original yellow gatefold hard paper cover and the top of the cue sheet has stains from the original paper clip which is still attached! This is ultra rare and may be your only chance to ever get this incredible album! I am selling this for a friend who was a DJ in 1973.
Cue sheets have some folds and knocks. The record is MINT MINUS!!!
