BOB SEGER Back In `72 (Palladium MS-2126) J.J. Cale RARE US Promo Pressing MINT-
RARE US PROMO pressing of Bob Seger`s "Back In `72", released on Palladium Records (January 1973) and distributed by Reprise.
A Bob Seger album that includes his all-time greatest ballad ("Turn The Page"), as well as covers ranging from Van Morrison`s "I`ve Been Working" to Free`s "The Stealer" by way of Gregg Allman`s "Midnight Rider" (lead guitar: J.J. Cale), as well as featuring the Muscle Shoals horns and rhythm section on one whole lp side can`t be all that bad, now can it? Well actually, er...no it can`t. In fact, "Back In `72 is arguably Bob Seger`s very finest (half) hour; condensed, yes, but bristling with white-hot soul and the purest rock`n`roll essence.
Note: Bob Seger`s "Back In `72" has never officially been made available on CD.
GRADING:
EX++ COVER in very fine overall condition. Please see photos for details.
- Original unlaminated US sleeve.
- Very slight discolouring (fading) to the spine.
- A bit of ringwear to the rear sleeve only.
- Also includes the original promo insert in MINT- condition.
MINT- RECORD with perfect audio reproduction throughout.
- A few lightest hairlines. from sleeve removal only.
- Original first press blue Palladium Records labels with no spindle lines whatsoever.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "MS-2126 31536-1" and "MS-2126 31537-1", indicating a first pressing.
- This record is hereby certified to be an original US first pressing of "Back In `72", released in January 1973.
PLEASE NOTE: Not to be compared with the more-often-than-not substandard vinyl on offer on eBay, this item is in honestly-graded EX++ to MINT- condition. You will NOT find another original first pressing of "Back In `72" as nice as this one - especially at this bargain price: "True value for money" is the motto here!
