Description

This is the 1978 first pressing and sealed album of Bob Seger entitled, "Stranger in Town". This original first pressing album is on Capitol/EMI Records SW-11698. Beautiful example with not one but two rare hype stickers for SW-11698 from the factory! Overall in NM- condition!
This sealed LP is among Bob Seger's best albums ever, many would argue that this one might be their favorite (I lean towards "Beautiful Loser" as mine). This album brings back such great memories of the mid-70's and growing up in Michigan while listening to one of our own who made us so proud. At that particular time, we had Seger, Ted Nugent, Grand Funk, Stevie Wonder and so many other native artists that were killing it out there!
Overall, this LP is in NM- condition and still sealed. The spine, seams and mouth are wonderful and with no shrink splits or tears! Shrink wrap is tight all the way around the LP and there are two horizontal breathe holes (a standard for Capitol Records) near the bottom on the front cover. There are two breathe holes on the back cover located near the bottom. Corners are very nice and the bottom right corner has a very tiny rub to it. Very minimal trace of album wear on the front cover, which is totally common for not only this particular album cover but most all of them that have a darker or black background. There is a punch hole at the bottom right corner from the record store and that's all to explain... This album has the added bonus of TWO factory hype stickers on the front cover, which makes it unique. I take my photos in natural light and on angles to show the true texture, different views and presentation of the entire album so there is NO mystery.
Again, this LP is rare to find and now 40 years old. You will get a hard-to-find classic rock album that many would argue as one of the top 50 albums of the 1970's and it is in overall NM- condition. This comes from my own personal collection and a great sealed classic!
I have described this total LP as accurately as possible and it will be a fantastic addition to any collector's records. I'm quite strict about my grading.
Please ask any further questions you may have and happy bidding!
Sorry, no international shipping outside of North America (for shipping to Canada please contact me before purchasing so that I can provide an estimate of shipping costs).
Note: I cannot and will not accept any returns on sealed LPs that have been opened or attempts at opening these sealed gems. Once the shrink is cracked open it is non-returnable (standard practice for anyone selling sealed LPs).
