“As Bobby Bland would say at anytime, if you want my heart, “CALL ON ME”.  If at first he is turned down, you will hear him go into, “THAT’S THE WAY LOVE IS”.  If there ever was a singer of the truth, here is one who has the drive, the voice and control to tenderly caress the words of a song as if he was actually caressing a loved one, and on the other hand, scold her with veracity when she has wronged.  These are songs of everyday life.

The sounds of the Dynamic Bobby Bland have been blasted from the radios, juke boxes, record players around the world.  Bobby Bland has stolen into the hearts of people around the globe.  Here is the natural talent of our era.  Here is a special record first.  As we say in Texas, my pardner B.B. (Bobby Bland) has loaded his musical six-shooters for a real blast.  “CALL ON ME” – A suitable title for a smash album by one of the country’s most versatile talents.

Bobby Bland needs no introduction to the many “BLUES-BUFFS” who have seen him in person and bought his other records, for with them, this guy rates on top.  This is especially brought out by the fact that he was voted the nation’s number one Rhythm & Blues singer last year by cash box magazine.  But now bobby breaks into the popular music field with his biggest hit yet, “CALL ON ME”/”THAT’S THE WAY LOVE IS” . . . And now on the inside of this record package is a collection of songs by the great Bland, marking still another musical step up the ladder of success for my man Bobby.  Arrangements for these tough sounds you’re about to hear were worked up mostly by Bobby’s Band Leader-Arranger and Buddy Joe Scott, just another sample of the Bland talent.

I suppose I could rave on and on about how great the Bobby Bland organization is, about every member of his great Show-Band, the talented Bland-Dolls . . . but instead, I say: “CALL ON ME” if I’m wrong, for here’s THE GREATEST . . . HERE’S THE MAN . . . HERE’S BOBBY BLAND! . . .”

The LP is in Very Good Condition with just a few surface marks and surface scratches

The Sleeve is in Very Good Condition with hardly any scuffing and only slight laminate creasing

On the back “32/2” is pencilled top left and there is a small sticker “The Disc Shop” stuck centre top

It has been kept in a plastic cover
