Incredibly rare and great up-tempo Sacramento, Ca. northern soul by BOBBY BLUES RAY. Soul Parts 1 & 2 (Ross 1277) The flip is a killer instro version of side one. This is much rarer than the Sac-Soul City Label version of this great 45. Pressed on beautiful vinyl unlike the Sac-Soul City version which was also super rare but was pressed on styrene so the 2 copies I found of that version in the past were both full of distortion. One of the few soul records ever released in Sacramento in the 1960's. This is in my top 10 of Northern California soul records of the late 60's!!! OH YEAH, you won't find this one in the Manship guide. Even though Bobby has BLUES as his middle name, there are no blues licks to be found. Email me for my phone number if you want to listen to it. The 45 is in vg++ condition and plays great!!! I've been getting quite a few questions regarding this 45 in the last 2 days. It is the original press of only 50 copies. As far as I know it's the only copy that has ever turned up. Even the guitar player in the band who I have located didn't know of it's release. And every important collector of Northern California soul that I know of doesn't / didn't know of it's existence. This 45 would have had a starting price of $1000+ if it wasn't for the fact that there has been a handful of the Sac-Soul City label copies turn up over the years. This is as rare as THE UNIQUES 45 from Sacramento, but much better to my ears. 1st class shipping in the U.S is $3.00. Optional insurance is based on the final price.
