This live set was recorded for a live broadcast in Germany back in 2005 following the release of Had To Cry Today. From the opening salvo of 'Takin' The Hit/Jesus Left Chicago' with its propulsive slap bass and frenzied soloing, it's clear that the band was on fire for this particular show. There are moments in 'You Upset Me Baby' that sound like doom-laden grunge, but for the most part, this is a band that revels explosive performance. The first couple of minutes of 'Burning Hell' is appropriately fiery, and even the cover of Hendrix's Spanish Castle Magic sounds like it has the devil on his heels. This is a showcase of a band firing on all cylinders, and Bonamassa's hands, the blues sounds positively joyful.
