After vol.1 and vol.2 sold out at source quicker than a day, here's a newcomer in the Bonehead series, dedicated to never-comped before and forgotten sounds from the English underground early 70s.
For this 3rd volume of Bonehead Crunchers, we visit the UK. There are marked differences with the US insofar as here we touch upon different angles of the Bonehead spectrum including a nod to Junkshop Glam as well as a more targeted approach to Proto Punk. Now it has been said that, compared to the US, groups in the UK were more likely to be influenced by Vaudeville and learned their licks playing the Chicken in the basket/Working Man Club circuit. I even remember reading somewhere (was it Lester Bangs?) that whilst the US had the Count V, the UK had Freddie & The Dreamers!!! Now to redress this fallacy, we bring 14 total killer tracks, including a plethora of unreleased acetates for your enjoyment. None of the tracks are pretty, but they all share a no-holds bar, no prisoners-taken approach. This allows for a certain amount of revisionism: The 70s NEVER HAPPENED! Well they did, but not how you originally thought. So c'mon jump on-board and take this rampant ride with us.

What's in a phrase ? Genres only become genres when they get tagged... and no one likes to be pigeon-holed or put into neat little boxes for sterile marketing purposes, BUT it's great fun to invent myths, coin a phrase and enable the obscure to become legend. It can also be of great use to collectors to have an instantly recognisable tag on an ebay listing. Although often miss-used, evocative labels such as Junkshop Glam or BubbleGlam, "say what it does on the tin". However one person's Freakbeat is another person's Psych and KBD can just about describe anything which is either punk, DIY or just plain crap. Now Heavy Rock and Hard Rock are fine generic names, but the scope is far too wide and unspecified. So without further ado, please welcome into your vocabulary and life BONEHEAD. You may either precede this with Heavy or tag on Crusher or Cruncher as an afterthought. Bonehead says it all really. It's not pretty. It's not nice, but it's loud, stupid without any sensitivity or too much musicality on display. Most importantly, it's a hell of an entertaining and fun ride, so please climb aboard and joined me as we swoon, snirk and maximise the minimum with the primitive sounds of Bonehead
