RARE original very first STEREO press released in Chile in 1979 by Hansa International Records, made and distributed by Industria De Radio Y Televisión S.A. (IRT Records), licensed from RCA Records, catalog number CHANL-002, with hand etched matrix numbers CHANL-002-A MSM-CD in Side A and CHANL-002-B MSM-CD in Side B, with brown/black Hansa Records labels. It’s interesting to notice that in the dedawax of both sides it’s written the exact day of pressing, “17-7-79” (July 17th of 1979) in Side A and “17-6-79” (June 17th of 1979)!!! It’s interesting to notice that dates have 1 month of difference!!! Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“NIGHTFLIGHT TO VENUS” is the third album by Boney M., originally released in 1978, and we got it here in Chile mid 1979 and like usual in that period, we got it with a flipback cover made of a single piece of thin cardboard folded in the middle, with back cover pasted on the flips of front cover and a very thin spine with the album title written in Spanish “VUELO NOCTURNO A VENUS – BONEY M. CHANL-002”. Front and back covers keep strictly the original artwork with all the text written in English only, the only difference is the catalog number and here in Chile they added a red box in back cover to inform the record is also available in cassette. In labels the album title and tracklist are written in Spanish only, with full credits for songwriters. It’s important to notice that in labels you can see written “(P) 5/78”, the same date you can find in original German issue, but that’s not the date this record was released in Chile, this record was released in Chile in 1979!!! Yes, Sirs, this is ANOTHER GREAT FIND from Chile for all disco lovers, fans and collectors!!! WOW!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great EX- or EX condition, clean and clear, complete, with some wear in edges, more evident in corners, with a rip in the mouth edge, light ring mark and some creases, but with all edges solid with no seam splits at all. The record is in great EX or EX+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with only some scuffs and very light hairlines, hard to see at first sight, which don’t affect play at all. Labels on both sides are in absolute NM or NM+ condition, absolutely clean and clear, with only minimal spindle hole wear. The sound is in absolute EX+ or NM- condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with only very soft occasional crackles hard to hear if you are not looking for them, which of course don’t cause any distraction from the great sound this album keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, a record with a nice cover, glossy record, almost immaculate labels and superb sound quality after almost 40 years, which won’t disappoint anyone!!! Yes, Sirs, a MEGARARE PRESS, another GREAT FIND FROM CHILE AGAIN in a great condition!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

We have an unique value worldwide: 

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for.
