TO ESTABLISH ERIC'S SOLO CAREER AFTER CREAM HE TOURED WITH DELANEY & BONNIE AS WELL AS DAVE MASON AND RECORDED THIS LIVE LP - ON TOUR WITH ERIC CLAPTON - The third album by Delaney & Bonnie was live and was their first on the Atco/Atlantic label. Released in 1970, the album features their best-known touring band which included Eric Clapton, Jim Gordon, Carl Radle, Bobby Whitlock, Leon Russell, Dave Mason and George Harrison. Many of these players would go on to work with Eric Clapton on his solo debut WHICH IS LISTED ABOVE WITHIN THIS COLLECTION and Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs as well as with Harrison on his "All Things Must Pass" album.

"Touring With Eric Clapton" was to be Delaney & Bonnie's most successful album reaching #29 on the Billboard album chart.

Delaney & Bonnie On Tour with Eric Clapton This 42-minute, eight-song live album, cut at Croydon late in 1969, is not only the peak of Delaney & Bonnie's output, but also the nexus in the recording and performing careers of Eric Clapton, Dave Mason and George Harrison. On Tour features Clapton performing the same blend of country, blues, and gospel that would characterize his own early solo ventures in 1970.
