Description
If you collect Cher, songs related to the Beatles, Phil Spector produced records, or obscure labels, then you know how extremely rare this 45 rpm is! This is Cher's first record (recorded as Bonnie Jo Mason) from 1964 with the release of "Ringo, I Love You" b/w "Beatle Blues" on Annette Records #1000, original red label stock issue. Normaly, the promo issue of a 45 carries more value than the stock issue, but so very few of these stock copies were sold, making it much rarer than the promos. Both songs were produced by Phil Spector, with the familiar pattern of a vocal on one side (Ringo, I Love You) and an instrumental on the other (Beatle Blues), which by the way, was credited to Annette Lee Spector. I'm guessing that's how the label got it's name. This may be the only 45 issued with the Annette label (it's certainly the first), but can't be certain of that. Both songs are Beatles' related, making it a rare item for the Beatles collectors as well. This record has some good points and some issues, so I'll describe it has accurately as possible. THE VINYL: still has a fairly good gloss. Both sides have visible scratches, and play through without any skips, but the flip side (Beatle Blues) has the most wear with several heavy scuff marks. As a result, this side has more background noise with audible "pop" sounds in the scuff areas of the vinyl. The "Ringo" side by Cher plays cleaner, still has good vocal clarity, with light, subdued background noise. LABELS look pretty good; no writing with some moderate ring wear. I would rate the vinyl at "VG" on the Ringo side, "Good" on the flip side, with a VG on the labels. I'm starting this off with a low opening bid, and NO RESERVE, so some lucky bidder will get to add this highy sought after 45 to their collection.
