Description
This is BONNIE RAITT LP on Warner Brothers Records WS 1953. Not exactly sure which pressing I have here . I checked Discogs and my release is not listed.. The record was first released in 1971 with the WB olive green labels. In 1973, they issued the Burbank labels until 1979 when the white/tan labels came out. There are many variations of the Burbank label.This one has the WC logo along the rim and without STEREO at the bottom. The rim address had a zip code of 91510, which was not used until the beginning of 1976 on Capitol pressings. The inner sleeve has a date in the lower corner of 1977. So this album is somewhere between 1977 and 1978. The dead wax matrix is not listed in Discogs. Side 1 is WS-1-1953. JW2 (then scripted)Sul#1 Side 2 is Side (scratched out 1) 2 WS1953(39994-2)#1
The COVER VG++ Light shelf wear. Just the lightest touch of ring wear starting at the bottom. Each corner has a spot of missing ink and along the bottom seam.. No splits. No creases. No writing or bends. Do delete cuts or drill holes. Great cover. I am not going to call it Near Mint. Some reputable dealers would.
The VINYL VG+ Play graded. Looks VG+ with sleeve marks. Has some other handling marks, nothing feelable. Just not shiny, new looking or I would call it Near Mint. It still has lots of shine. Listened to both sides and it played great. A little crackle before the music started after which I heard nothing else. No pops. Checked it for any warping and it was flat. Great listen.
The LABELS NM. No writing or spindle wear or trails. Very clean labels.
The SLEEVE VG+ Original with Warner Brothers averting for a sampler album . There is a 2 1/2 " split on one side.
All records will be mailed in sturdy, recycled record specific mailer boxes with extra padding. Disc will be removed from jacket and this company sleeve to eliminate splitting caused by transit shifting. I use USPS Media mail. I am happy to combine shipping. The first album is $4.75. Lower 48 US states sales only, no international, sorry.
