Description
Available here is a 12" vinyl LP by the Bonzo Dog Band (Bonzo-Dog Doo-Dah Band) - The Doughnut In Granny's Greenhouse. Issued in the UK by Liberty in 1969, it’s a 1st pressing mono version with the catalogue number LBL 83158E.
Identifiers - This copy has the requisite 1st pressing marks, namely -
Matrix / Runout - A-Side - Stamped - LBL 83158 A//1? 420 1 1 (?)
Matrix / Runout - B-Side - Stamped - LBL 83158 A//1? 420 1 1 (?)
LBL 83158 on spine and label - LBL 83158E on back cover
Vinyl Condition - Very Good - The record is relatively bright and clean and while there are a few light surface marks, there are no worrying scratches. Having listened all the way through, I can confirm that there is no jumping or sticking, although periodic light click will be heard. Background crackle/noise is moderate throughout - perhaps not excessive but most noticeable during quieter moments and track breaks.
Sleeve Condition - Excellent - Original gatefold sleeve with light edge/corner wear and minor rubbing but no damage of note. Likewise the loose 12-page booklet which is near immaculate. Plain white die-cut, poly-lined, inner sleeve which is a little creased and discoloured around the edges and probably as issued.
