Description
A great opportunity to buy an ORIGINAL copy of a VINYL LP from the 1960’s by the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band called "Gorilla."
It is an original MONO copy of their FIRST album and includes the rare BOOKLET.
This is a U.K. pressing released in 1967 on the Liberty label (LBL 83056)(mono). It has a total of 15 tracks (see photos for track listing).
The vinyl is in a lovely, clean and shiny EXCELLENT condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and there are only a few very fine surface marks evident and these do not appear to affect the terrific overall sound quality. I have played both sides in their entirety and they play fine and sound great.
The labels are clean and free from any writing or major defects.
The matrix numbers are: - LBL 83056 A 1 420 1 1 7 (side one) and LBL 83056 B 1 420 1 (side two), which indicates it is a FIRST PRESSING.
The record is perfectly flat and has no warps of any description.
The record is housed in its original poly-lined inner sleeve in a VERY GOOD condition, with just some minor creasing and aging.
The fully-laminated cover is in an EXCELLENT condition. The edges, corners and spine are very strong and the text on the spine is clearly readable (see photo). There are 3 small stickers on the cover, one of which folds round the spine to the back cover. I will leave it to the winning bidder to decide whether to remove these or not!
Also included is the 12 page BOOKLET. This itself is internally in a clean and EXCELLENT condition, totally unmarked. There is however a one centimetre tear inwards from the opening edge (see photo), which does not affect the subsequent pages.
Despite the above shortcomings, this is a rare and collectable 1960's Rock / Comedy / Psychedelic / Avant-rock album and should be of great interest to avid collectors.
