BOB KERR'S WHOOPEE BAND

(EX BONZO DOG DOO-DAH BAND)

x 2 LPs

1978 "HARD PRESSED" LP

+

1981 "THINGS THAT GO BUMP IN THE MIKE" LP

Bob Kerr's Whoopee Band is a jazz band formed in 1967 and which continues to perform today. It was an offshoot of the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band and features ex Bonzos Bob Kerr, Vernon Dudley Bowhay-Nowell, Sam Spoons, Jim Chambers etc. If you liked the early Bonzos recordings, you will love this.

These LPs were privately pressed on the band's own 'Whoopee' label. With no major distributor behind them, these records were manufactured in small numbers and also sold in very low numbers. Most were sold at the band's live gigs - which is where these were purchased. It is now very rare to find original pressings of these records.
