Artist: BOOKER ERVIN
Title: “The Blues Book”
Label: PRESTIGE. Monaural pressing on medium thick vinyl. Label is blue with silver text, trident logo. “VAN GELDER” is stamped in runout area. Catalog number is PR 7340.
Year: 30 Jun 1964 session date.
Personnel: Booker Ervin – tenor sax; Carmell Jones – trumpet; Gildo Mahones - piano; Richard Davis – bass; Alan Dawson – drums.
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl is gorgeous NEAR MINT, as clean as can be found. The playing surface is immaculate, with a high luster, perhaps played once. Plays flawlessly with superb fidelity. Labels are clean and pristine.
JACKET: Laminated jacket is nice VG++ with nice bright front art work. Reverse has darkened considerably with age, and two corners have wear spots at the tips. No writing, stickers, cutout indications, or other flaws. Overall a very fine jacket to go with the beautiful disc.
