BOOKER ERVIN & JAKI BYARD & RICHARD DAVIS "THE SPACE BOOK" stereo lp on Prestige 7386 US issue (1965) VG+/VG. I would grade this lp VG+. It plays great, but has some minimal noise that was not there when the record was new. It may also have visual marks, consistent with a well cared for, but appreciated, record that’s had a moderate amount of play. This LP still plays great and has lots of shine and is beautiful overall. THIS IS A VINTAGE COPY (pre-2000). ALL LPS COME TO YOU FRESHLY CLEANED AND PLAY READY. FOR MAXIMUM RESULTS RECLEAN EACH SIDE AFTER INITIAL PLAY (SOME OF MY LPS HAVE NOT BEEN PLAYED FOR 40 YRS. OR MORE.) Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder this probably my favorite Ervin recording. Thanks in no small part to the great rhythm section (Alan Dawson is on drums). Davis and Byard were together on so many seminal 60's recordings they would be hard to list. This is five stars on any fans list I would think. I would guess this is a 1ST. PRESS but I'm not totally sure.
The Jacket: In black magic marker, my initials back upper left, an x back lower left. A very functional jacket. I would rate the cover VG overall with ring, seam and corner wear. Still nice.
