For auction is BOOKER ERVIN's "The Song Book" on Prestige PR 7318, MONO, 1964. The vinyl is VG+ or better, it has been machine-cleaned and played. Sounds great. **Note: the wavy lines on the right side of the vinyl close-ups is a reflection from a painting over my mantel** The sleeve is VG+ or better with no flaws of note. There is a radio-station catalogue sticker on top right cover. "Demonstration" stamp on reverse. The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.  No reserve, starts at $25.
I was left over 5000 old jazz albums from a friend who passed away. They are not catalogued nor are they even organized. I'll be going through them a little bit at a time and putting them up for auction. I have one of those cleaning machines and I listen to at least part of every cleaned record. Everything I've listened to "sounds great", and I do mean "great". No pops, hisses, skips, etc. Great sound. Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale. As for grading, I've reviewed generally accepted guidelines, and I think my grades on the sleeves and the vinyl are conservative. Most everything I've looked at so far is "VG+" or better. If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I don't know much about records but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material.  Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!

UPDATED INFO: Somebody asked a question about a "heat damage" issue known to be associated with the pressing of this release. Long story short, I examined the record and sampled every cut. Absolutely no issue with the sound that I can hear. In the interest of transparency, I did notice two things I didn't see before: 1) there is a small (smaller than a dime) area of damage on the label on side A. I have added an extreme close-up photo above; and 2) there are quite a few fingerprints on both sides that don't want to come off with cleaning. I put it on the machine again and it didn't make a difference. I leave it to the buyer to decide whether to pursue further cleaning! Thanks!
