BOOKER T and MGs Green Onions NR/MINT UK London MONO 1s
Booker T and the MGs, Green Onions.
First 1964 UK pressed London Records mono LP, HA-K 8182.
Earliest heavy pressing, with dark purple and silver labels with distinctive Decca deep groove and 3A/1A matrix suffixes.
Vinyl in near mint condition. Spider trail marks at centre spindle areas indicates very few plays. Surfaces have a rich and bright gloss still and are free of any marks. Even with the aid of a magnifying glass it is hard to detect any wispy sleeve scuffs. A scarce find in anything approaching this condition, especially as the very earliest press.
Labels are bright, undulled and undefaced.
Sleeve VG plus, although this grading mainly due to a few smudgy handling marks to rear. None of this are pronounced however. Else, sleeve is very solid and bright and is not overly worn or tired looking. No pronounced stains, teras, loss, pen or sticker marks. No laminate loss to front panel, although a couple of areas of linear creasing and one or two minor half moons. A little air pocketing to laminate near top half of spine area. Edges are very well preserved and spine is still very clean looking. No chipping, fraying or seam splits. Entry side still very crisp and not worn or feathered.
All in all, a very nice example of this LP.
