Description
BORIS GODOUNOFF: Opera by Modest Moussorgsky
4 LP Vinyl Box Set on RCA Victor Red Seal LM-6403 in beautiful near mint- condition. Program/libretto book enclosed. The vinyls are dark "shaded dogs" with deadwax: E2RP 4225 3S, 4226 8S, 4227 11S, 4228 6S, 4229 7S, 4230 7S, 4231 6S, and 4232 6S. The vinyls are shiny and in poly-plastic sleeves.
The first page inside the cover of the program/libretto book is autographed and inscribed by Boris Christoff. It reads as follows (some of the Italian is not completely legible to me, but the ink is clear and the book is in MINT condition. "Al Signor Rudolf Bing per cordiale ricorolo ...? nostro primo recontrol al Metropolitan. -Boris Christoff, New York, Nov. 14. 1957" Of course Christoff never sang there so I assume that Christoff presented Bing with this first recording of Boris (1956) upon a visit or tour of the Met.
