Description
Up for bid is a RARE 12" LP put out by Boston's Count Viglione on his local "Varulven" label, who helped support and manage many of these bands at the time. The label that brought you other singles by fav local Boston punk & pop bands of the late 70's early 80's like Unnatural Axe etc. This LP contains a total of 15 tracks by some of the best of the local Boston Punk scene during the year of it's release in 1979. Bands include Boston Rockers, Count Viglione, Third Rail, Fox Pass, Pastiche, Tina Peel, The Kustoms, Arrow, Unnatural Axe, Phobia, Lord Manuel, Lady Carolyn, The Rentals, and Classic Ruins. Great collection of Boston Punk. RARE to find. Vinyl in NM condition. Likely played only once or twice on a high end B&O turntable. Record is in it's original plastic lined inner sleeve. Cover is also in NM - condition, clean except for small 1/2 inch seam split bottom right corner. Cover in a plain white cardboard sleeve stamped in red "The Boston Bootleg" and " #40 J.R." written in pen at top. Although noted in its title, this is a well produced, great sounding studio recording, released to local area press and maybe limited store sales on the Varulven label....it is NOT an actual bootleg. Also includes original 8 by 14 inch flyer advertising T-shirts for the release that was included as an insert with the LP. Record is from my own personal collection. Well taken care of over the years.
