Description
This is a very fine copy from a 1996 reissue of the rare sole LP by the Bow Street Runners, originally released in 1970. From the small North Carolina city of Fayetteville, the group recorded this one LP for the B.T. Puppy label, which was better known for pop acts like the Happenings ("See You in September," "Go Away Little Girl") and the Tokens (of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" fame). It was reportedly released in small quantities, and quickly sank. Long highly regarded by collectors, it features a mixture of high energy rock songs ("Push It Through," "Spunky Monkey," "Steve's Jam"), slower tunes ("Eating from a Plastic Hand," "Leaving Grit America"), and blues numbers. Several of the LP's songs feature good fuzz guitar, including its most oft comped track, and to my ear its highlight, the slow-to-fast-to-slow "Another Face." The jacket is close to pristine with a little light corner creasing (M-). The green vinyl disc is clean, and plays like new M(-).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
