BOYS NEXT DOOR - SHIVERS / DIVE POSITION 7" SINGLE
This is an original copy on the Australian Mushroom record label of the Boys Next Door's 1979 single "Shivers". Written by Rowland S. Howard and sung by 22 year old Nick Cave, the song is now regarded as an Australian classic, as indicated by the just recorded cover version by Courtney Barnett.
The record is in excellent shiny condition, the only visible blemish being a tiny manufacturing spot which doesn't affect the sound at all. It plays extremely well, with no obvious pops or clicks. The label is virtually perfect, and it is the original pale yellow Mushroom design. Later pressings were on the newer black-based Mushroom label. The record comes packaged in the original generic Festival Records paper sleeve.
This is an opportunity to secure a rare early release by this legendary Australian band. And of course, it is a real collector's item for fans of Nick Cave or Rowland S. Howard.
