Description

This is another sale from a my collection of classical records, which includes early stereo rarities on Decca, Columbia, HMV and RCA.


UK 1968 pressing HMV ASD 2436, Brahms Cello Sonatas No.1 in E Minor, Op.38/ No.2 in F Major, Op.99, Jacqueline Du Pre, cello and Daniel Barenboim, piano. EMI ASD 2nd series label, "semi-circle". It has the original inner - a thicker paper than I have seen on 2nd series label. The date code on the back cover in the bottom right hand corner is 6811 TPS has "Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents Pending" next to it.


Grading

Visually grade vinyl as Excellent, there are some faint hairline scratches on both sides that show under strong light. It plays on my Linn Sondek with no skips or jumps however there are crackles in places on both sides. The sleeve is in VG condition, there is wear to the opening. The inner is discoloured due to age (brown tinge, see photo). 


Note that record will be posted in a cardboard record mailer. Record and inner sleeve will be in a card sleeve.
