BRAHMS: SONG OF DESTINY
Absolutely unique one sided emidisc private 12” (33 1/3 rpm) acetate of Song of Destiny played as part of the 1955 proms. Very likely the only recording of this performance to exist.

SLEEVE: EX
Plain ble grammaphone sleeve is in great condition with no wear or breaks.
RECORD: EX
The record would benefit from a thorough clean but I cannot detect any scratches or marks. I am reticent to clean or listen to the record as I am not sure of what material it is made and so do not want to damage it (I usually use an isopropyl alcohol solution to clean record but am concerned that this may be too abrasive for the disc).
The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine system:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
