Symphony No 3

Along with my artwork, I have a few other items for sale. Among these are some classical LPs left over from my record collection.

This record is Brahms, symphony No 3 with Rafael Kubelik and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.

Decca SXL 2104 'Wide Band Groove'. Pancake version with groove 5 mm from edge (considered to be wide band groove).

Due to the workload with my art, I unfortunately have not had time to play this record, so will grade it visually. It will be sent well packed with a protective inner sleeve, outer sleeve (seperate to those that come with the LP), cardboard stiffeners, etc.

Note that I am unable to guarantee it further than my visual grading, so please bid with this in mind.

Sleeve / inner -

Nice with only some lifting of the laminate near the top to stop it being almost perfect. Spine in great condition.

Vinyl - 

Lovely fresh shiny appearance, almost perfect with regards to surface marks apart from a light 5mm scratch on side 1. Just played through this scratch and didn't notice it whatsoever. However, there was some general background noise, not very loud but noticeable. This may tie in with the noticeable spindle wear on the labels. 

Overall, a nice record visually graded at  EX, though due to the background noise I noticed while playing for a few minutes, maybe VG would be more accurate.
