GROUP / RECORD Bread, Love & Dreams • The Strange Tale Of Captain Shannon Ant The Hunchback From Gigha
Blue Boxed Label Stereo Original 1st pressing 1970 UK LABEL / LABELCODE MATRIX NUMBERS EXTRAS GRADING Decca SKL 5048 ZAL 9694 & 9695 Front-Laminated Single Cover M-/EX DESCRIPTION Outstanding UK psych tinged folk duo consisted of David McNiven and Carolyn Davis with beautiful female and male vocal harmonies. In the late 1960s many folk artists were still almost entirely endebted to the traditional acoustic form, this band though would record three albums of which this is the second which moved away in turns into the more progressive area of extended concept song forms. CONDITIONS RECORD: Visually both sides are deep shiney black and have all of its original gloss, seen in critical 100W light! Both sides are in NEAR MINT (M-) condition with only tiny hair line marks from being removed from the inner sleeve. Plays wonderfully with NO clicks, pops or crackles. No scratches. Pure and clean sound quality!! LABELS: Both labels in EXCELLENT condition with minimal spindle marks. COVER: Front-laminated single cover still in lovely conditon! Only a few slight creases. No tape. No splits. No writings, no stamps, no stickers. Only a little edge and spine wear and the tiniest ring wear on unlaminated rear. And one couriosity: The bottom flap was glued outside the rear. But this wonderful and rare cover is still EXCELLENT! SUMMARY One of the most sought after psych influenced folk records!!! And in absolutely great condition!!! © 2006 www.recordcollector.org Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
