Here’s a tremendous copy of this classic, spanning funk, folk, blues, gospel and more, all bound up by Brian Auger’s blinding Hammond work and Julie Driscoll’s charismatic vocals. It features their famed rendition of Indian Rope Man, though my favourite track is Jools’s oddball, touching solo piece Vauxhall To Lambeth Bridge. This is an LP that you can lose yourself in.

 

SLEEVE

The textured, unlaminated gatefold sleeve is in amazing NM condition, with only the slightest signs of handling. The spine is perfect (see picture). You will not be able to upgrade this!

 

VINYL

The playing surfaces on disc one are NM, but there's a minor ‘dish’ so I'll grade it VG (both sides play perfectly on my Pro-Ject turntable, but of course you take your chances on your own set-up). Disc two is in perfect unplayed NM shape.
