Description
This is Brian Bennetts' of the Shadows vintage 1976 14" x 5" birch shell Premier Hi-Fi snare drum.
This is a very special drum in exceptional condition. The only non original part is the snare batter and snare side heads. Please note: included is the signed batter head which came on the drum, I have seen these heads make £55 on their own. I will also include the snare side head which was on the drum when I bought it. It is currently fitted with a brand new Remo coated Ambassador batter head and a brand new Remo Ambassador snare side head.
Watchers to my listings over the last few months will see I have sold some exceptional Premier items. Over the years I have collected some great drums but this one is another drum I've got to let go. I have now decided to major on collecting Sonor drums and I can't afford to keep them all.

One thing I should mention as you can see this drum is fitted with triple flanged hoops. Premier Hi-Fi snare drums were factory fitted with die cast hoops. Obviously when Brian Bennett was endorsed by Premier he asked for his drum to be fitted with triple flanged hoops as can be witnessed by the website photos. Also as you will see in the pictures of this drum on the website there are 2 small holes where the damper is missing, I'm guessing this is how Brian liked it. When I got this drum I fitted it with an original Premier internal damper from the same era which obviously fitted the holes perfectly and works 100% as it should.
To conclude this is a special drum in excellent condition and a true piece of Premier/Shadows history. Apart from the signed batter head I have previously mentioned this drum will also come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Brian Bennett himself. Surely my start price is a very rare bargain when you consider the signed heads make more than my £49.99 start price on their own. There is no reserve and the winning bidder will receive this drum very well packed and fully insured.

I estimate to ship this drum fully insured to the USA would cost around £50 and to Europe would be around £40. I will not ship this drum uninsured and the only way I can ship it insured is via airmail so please don't ask me if I'll send it by any other method.
