ABC Paramount Records # 431
Original MONO pressing of this album, released in 1962. Still has the original ABC Paramount inner sleeve also. We purchased this record from a climate controlled storage facility, where it had been properly stored for many years until we bought it. The condition of the front cover has to be one of the nicest originals out there. The color is vivid, and you rarely see one that retains as much of its glossy luster as this one does. There is just a very small amount of surface wear on the glossy laminate. The seams and spine look great and have no splitting. The back of the cover has a price of $2.98 and the year 1962 written at the top in a ball point pen (they also wrote the price INSIDE the jacket!). There is a surface tear on the back left edge where the paper has been torn off of the jacket, measuring about 1 inch by 1 inch, and a small spot of sticky residue under this tear. The back of the cover has very little surface wear. There is a very small ding in the top right corner, and the cover has a slight curling to it, as many covers that were produced with a laminate across the front now show. The record is clean and under a lamp the vinyl shows just a bit of light surface scuffing & marking and a few light surface scratches. There is nothing that can be felt on the grooves and it plays with a bit of ticking and a nice Mono sound.
All LPs come packaged carefully in a sturdy corrugated box made specifically for mailing LPs plus a cardboard insert. The covers are placed in clear plastic record sleeves. The vinyl is removed from the cover (except for SEALED items) for shipping to prevent seam splitting during shipment.
