Up for bid is a great lot of two Capitol Records "Silver Platter Service" LPs. Each features a Brian Wilson interview, and have long been a must for any Beach Boys completist. Capitol provided these LPs to radio stations in the sixties....they were designed to provide "instant programming" to DJs who could play a complete side at a time. Details and condition of each LP is as follows:

#PRO 3123/3124 ~ Sides 123/124 ~ Issued October 1964
Includes a Brian Wilson interview and three tracks from The Hollyridge Stings "Beach Boys Song Book" (In My Room / She Knows Me Too Well / Girls On The Beach). A photo of Brian is on the back cover. Also includes tracks by Nancy Wilson, Stan Kenton, Vic Damone, Glen Gray, Wayne Newton, The Three Ds and Benny Goodman. Also includes interview with noted surf music compiler Jim Economides, who discusses Capitol surf/drag compilations. Vinyl is in full-gloss NEAR MINT condition. Labels are NM with the exception of a small date written in ink on each side. Cover is in solid VERY GOOD+ condition. Small tear/tape residue on the front side (at the "F" in "Full"). Otherwise just light rubwear.

#PRO 3265/3266 ~ Sides 265/266 ~ Issued September 1967
Includes a Brian Wilson "phoner" along with "With Me Tonight" from the "Smiley Smile" LP (which is pictured on the back cover). Also features tracks by Andy Russell, Nancy Wilson, Matt Monro, Peggy Lee and Frank Barber. Vinyl is in full gloss VG+/VG++ condition with some light surface marks. Labels are NM. Cover is a fantastic VG++ with some light rubwear.
