Originally released in 2015 and celebrating its 10th anniversary, That's The Spirit served as the fifth full-length from Sheffield metalcore-turned-pop rock megastars Bring Me The Horizon. Following the enlisting of keyboardist Jordan Fish as an official member for 2013's Sempiternal, he and frontman Oli Sykes began to experiment with more hyper-pop sonics and less metallic arrangements, eventually deciding to swing for the lofty heights of other "gateway metal" acts such as Linkin Park and 30 Seconds To Mars. Utilising more electronic soundscapes, prioritising anthemics hooks and a more streamlined composition, the gamble would pay off immensely, garnering the band entirely new waves of listeners and catapulting them to arena shows and headline slots at the likes of Download and Reading and Leeds. Featuring some of their biggest singles to date, including 'Happy Song', 'Throne' and 'Drown', as well as the true arrival of Oli Sykes as a Bonafide rockstar, showcasing his clean vocals and ear for melody in a manner never heard prior, the decade since has been the band become one of, if not, the biggest "metal"-centric export from the UK.
