BRITISH ELECTRIC FOUNDATION (B.E.F.)  -  'Music For Listening To:'      LP export      1981     Virgin  BEF1

Rare and collectable album from Craig Marsh & Martyn Ware (HUMAN LEAGUE / HEAVEN 17). 

Released mainly for export, LP features tracks from the ‘Music For Stowaways’ cassette plus exclusive recordings.   

Tracklisting on front sleeve does not agree with record labels.   Side2 label lists the same tracks as side1 (minus ‘BEF Ident’).    Vinyl is not mispressed, actual music on record is correct.     Unsure if this is a true rarity, or they all have this label anomaly? 

Also selling the ‘Music of Quality and Distinction Vol 1’ 5x7” box set. 

CONDITION:       I strive to provide an accurate and honest appraisal of condition.  It’s in my best interests to do so.  I WANT YOU TO COME BACK!    All records are checked in good light and play tested at a loud volume (unless described as sealed, brand new or stated otherwise).   All used records are cleaned using a Moth vacuum record cleaning machine prior to play testing.    STRICT  U.K. MAGAZINE  'RECORD COLLECTOR'  GRADING SYSTEM USED.

SUPERB PLAYING CONDITION!      Playing condition is NrMINT, if not better.   Record has clearly had very little previous play, if any!    The record plays with no discernible difference compared to a brand new one.   NO crackle,   NO repetitive clicks,   NO distortion,   NO jumps,   NO sticking. 

Visually the vinyl is in MINT condition.   Looks as good as new!   Vinyl looks lovely and clean and retains its original sheen.     Stunning.  

Labels are MINT.   No obvious spindle marks.   All text perfectly readable.    NO writing.   NO tears.   NO stickers.

Sleeve is in EX- condition.   The minus is only for some noticeable creasing.    NO edge/corner wear.    All spine text perfectly readable.    NO seam splits.   NO tears.    NO stickers.   NO writing.

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or deface

POOR (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

BAD (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler
