BROTHER AHH – Move Ever Onward (1975) Divine-52134 – VG+/EX (cover/vinyl)
Brother Ahh, real name Robert Northern, was a composer, flautist and french horn player who played with the Sun Ra Arkestra on occasion between 1964 and 1975 This is his super rare private press album from 1975 that is one of the all time private psychedelic space age funky free jazz rarities. Tracks are “Natures Creation,” “Transfiguration,” “Enthusiasm,” “Spirits in the Night,” “Transcendental March (Creation Song),” “Boundless Rhythm,” “Celestial Strings,” and “Sweet Illumination ‘Chile Woman’.” This is mind blowing and super super deep. A highly sought-after collectible.
This is a really nice copy. The gatefold cover has some light staining – primarily a small bit of water discoloration on the bottom right corner. It also has the beginnings of a 1-inch seam split in the middle of the bottom seam, but there isn’t relly much wear to the cover other than a bit of corner wear where the H2O stain is – not bad at all. This also features a custom/lyric inner sleeve (I bet very few of these still have that original touch). The vinyl is clean and glossy with only a few light whisper sleeve scuffs that are insignificant. It plays great. I grade this conservatively: VG+/EX (cover/vinyl).
