This record showcased Sellers as a smooth and accomplished singer of folk, blues, and a bit of jazz.
He mixed original compositions with standards like "John Henry," "Down By the Riverside," and "Nobody Knows the Trouble I Have Seen" on a set that seemed conscientiously programmed to demonstrate his versatility.
The blues and folk numbers were graced by harmonica from Sonny Terry; with the jazzy efforts accompanied by a combo featuring the original Count Basie rhythm section
