The collection that ranges in style (e.g. Psychedelic Rock, Hard Rock/Heavy Metal, Punk, Alternative, Emo, New Wave, Southern Rock, Rockabilly, Motown, Easy Listening, & more).

I am digging into my large collection of vinyl album & single 'nuggets' that date back to the 50s. Most are from my personal collection & I consider them in better condition (visually & audibly) than the ones you may see at a retail store!  They have been protected since first purchased with either a plastic vinyl cover (PVC) over the jacket or its original shrink wrap (SW) neatly taped to the edge of the jacket which prevented ring wear & most occurring damages; along with being stored in a smoke-free environment & not handled by any small children.  My vinyls are very clean unless indicated in the auction—but please before playing, always go over them will a soft cloth.   THEY ARE ORIGINAL RELEASES NOT REISSUES; most are U.S. editions unless otherwise noted (e.g. import).  The starting off price is very reasonable considering that old original vinyls are all rare &  hard to find in this condition.  I refer to 2 reliable reference books to assist me with pricing—the quality of most of my collection should be considered on the higher price range end but I again start at a reasonable bid instead.

Not only are vinyls great to listen to &  collect, but they can also be used for wall art display ('suitable for framing'). They will contain original inner sleeves, posters, etc. as described in the auction (also great for display).  You'll find artists that have gone mainstream & charted, one-hit wonders, or some that have been completely forgotten.  Some albums have never been released on CD (& maybe never will)! 

I occasionally include a little trivia in my auctions of whatever I can remember.  I’ll list next to some of the musicians what bands they may have been in, etc.  This is how I developed my large collection of vinyls, etc.   I would actually purchase an album or single if a known artist was credited.  So read carefully some of the trivia because you may want to purchase something for the same reason.

The following grading system & descriptions are used:

 MOST are graded as 'EXCELLENT’ (or near mint) in audibility & quality (no ringwear, etc). unless otherwise indicated in the CONDITION section.  The term MINT is not used unless the item has never been played/opened--but in the eye of the beholder, many (even though opened) can actually be considered mint! 

VINYL:  EXCELLENT (see above) ** VG+ = minimum amount of surface noise, slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect audibility ** VG = more pronounced than VG+ grading, label may have writing or a sticker but does not affect audibility ** G = more visible surface noise, scratches but still enjoyable to listen to.

JACKET:  EXCELLENT (see above) ** VG+ = may have some ring wear and/or writing, some minor creases ** VG = may have some ring wear, writing & more visible spots ** G = ring wear, writing, visible spots, seam split, etc. may be visible but still presentable.

SW = shrink wrap (neatly taped) ** PVC = plastic vinyl cover ** OSWS = original shrinkwrap sticker

CC = jacket has a cut corner ** CON = jacket has a cut-out notch/sawed corner ** COH = jacket has a cut-out hole ** DH = jacket has a drilled hole ** MC = jacket has some minor creases ** RW = jacket ring wear ** WOL = writing or initials on label ** WOJ = writing on jacket ** WOSW = writing on shrink wrap ** WOIS = writing on inner sleeve ** WOI = writing on insert ** WOP = writing on poster (any WOJ, WOSW, WOIS, WOI  is only a name or initials written in the upper left corner unless otherwise noted).  Even though some vinyls have writing on the jacket or label--the jacket & vinyl are in excellent condition as described.
