Description
Title: The Jersey Devil CONDITION: Record: VG++ condition. Deluxe silver and black label on side-A and blank on side-B. Side-A label has some flaking to it typical of metallic finish labels. Sleeve: VG++ condition wrap around insert cover shown is not glued or taped to the cover. Someone added a blue "s" to the devil's tail. Light ageing on front and back of the insert. Original mimeographed info sheet, that tells you where to get more of these, is wrinkled. They were $3.50 including shipping back then. Apparently, Mr. "C. Shaddow", who made these, didn't want to make any money doing this. You can tell by the text on the back of the insert, he is a FAN! Indeed he is. Label: Hoffman Ave. HAR 147 Overall Condition: Pretty nice copy. Description: The one to have. I'm being as critical as I can be on grading this. Always ship my records packed between thick cardboard in a mailer with the disc in a white sleeve out of the cover (unless it's sealed, of course), which is in a plastic sleeve. Rare live material from 1973-1975. Now, let's see. Where would you find a mimeograph machine back in the 70's? Maybe a school? Like maybe a local SoCal high school where a teacher worked? Did a teacher make this up? And did the teacher have one of his students named "Carlos" draw the cover? I don't know. Maybe... Side one dead wax says "this side for Char". Charlene was Mr. "C. Shaddow's" wife's name.
