THE CHICAGO FOOTWARMERS, led by clarinetist JOHNNY DODDS, collectively were the hottest and most uninhibited New Orleans jazz band in existence.  Louis' horn was majestic, and Jelly Roll's compositions were elegant, but THESE guys just hit hard, and the Devil take the hindmost!  

The band: NATTY DOMINIQUE, cornet / KID ORY, trombone / JOHNNY DODDS, clarinet / JIMMY BLYTHE, piano, BILL JOHNSON, string bass, BABY DODDS, washboard.  No weak sisters in this bunch! 

Most fortunately for us, ALL the major record labels - Victor, OKeh, Brunswick, Paramount and Gennett - took notice and produced immensely satisfying discs of them, including this one, the sublime "BRUSH STOMP" and "GET 'EM AGAIN BLUES." 

To recommend the Chicago Footwarmers would be sheer impertinence! 

This original "Electric" "Race" OKeh 8599 is in slightly worn E- condition.

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing!  My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value.  I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all.  If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will!  Shipping is done with expert care. Your record will brave Media Mail in a stout corregated box, between four sheets of cardboard and a couple of “packers.”  I hope you are amused by these descriptions, and by the quality of service being offered.
