Records look minty covers look strong with small sings of storage ware
Bruton Music BRD 26 & BRD 27, both volumes of the Nature Study LPs, two of the rarer and better selections of the famous UK library label. These ones have music designed to evoke various things in nature, from landscapes to specific animals. Really it is mostly rich and sweeping ambient textural music, a New Age-ish. Some of the bird themes habe a whimsical, fluttery sort of sound, while some are more heavy and dramatic, like "Plight for Survival", described as "barren - the quest for food". Really an interesting assortment of atmospheric music, and with the last track on volume 2 being by Alan Hawkshaw, one of the most collectible composers on this label. His track is a soaringly minimal synth pad with simple melodic hints. Really great ambient music. Both discs are very near perfect mint and the covers are in excellent shape except for a corner crease at the upper left on volume one. These flimsy Bruton Music covers are often terribly bent up. Great copies! And so rare to find both...
