Description
Gorgeous, superlative copy of this massively genius session by BUD POWELL! Entitled "The Scene Changes - Vol.5," LP was released in 1958 on the Blue Note Records label with catalogue number BLP-4009. Deep-groove labels; 47 W.63rd * NYC address; RVG and 'ear' etched in dead wax; no registration or copyright mark below the "E" in "Blue Note." An unambiguous investment grade copy!
PERSONNEL: BUD POWELL (piano); PAUL CHAMBERS (bass); ART TAYLOR (drums). Recorded by RUDY VAN GELDER ; produced by ALFRED LION ; back cover liner notes by LEONARD FEATHER ; stunning jacket design by the legendary REID MILES from an equally stunning photograph by FRANCIS WOLFF .
TRACKS: "Cleopatra's Dream", "Duid Deed", "Down With It", "Danceland", "Borderick", "Crossin' The Channel", "Comin' Up", "Gettin' There", "The Scene Changes."
GOLDMINE STANDARD GRADING (VISUAL): NM/NM -- Certainly the best copy of this LP I've ever seen! Vinyl is beautiful -- truly sumptuous with no problems whatsoever! Deep-groove Blue Note labels are still vivid and crisp! NICE! Jacket, likewise, is NM with only the most tangential signs of storage wear. An exceptional copy from detail to detail!
