BUD POWELL - THE AMAZING BUD POWELL VOLUMES 1&2.
United Artists Blue Note pressings, BNS 40005 and 40006 MONO.
As the previous owner put small biro marks on each cover (see pic - colour blind perhaps?) I can only grade the covers as fair to good. But for the biro marks they would be excellent.
However both of the LP records are in excellent condition. Please note these are Mono recordings from 1949 -1953.
The musicians include Max Roach, Tommy Potter, Roy Haynes, Fats Navarro, Sonny Rollins and Art Taylor.
The music speaks for itself; this is classic jazz from the fertile post-war period. Powell is seen now as an influential though tragic figure, but when he was on top he was the modern jazz piano player.
These particular LP pressings are from the United Artists era of Blue Note and are here offered together at a very good price.
