This is “RVG” stamped, Deep Groove, “P” pressing of BUD POWELL’s “The Amazing Bud Powell, Vol 1” on the "47 West 63rd New York 23” labels of Blue Note BLP 1503. Musicians include Bud Powell – piano, Curly Russell – bass, Max Roach – drums.
VINYL plays with consistent light surface noise (i.e, crackle, static, ?? or ????, relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with pops and ticks. Repeating trick side 2, #1. Ensemble sections are clear, dynamic and strong. No skips. Super gloss. Super clean surface, a couple non-feelable hairline marks. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The Deep Groove “47 West 63rd New York 23” labels are clean, spindle wear. See photos.
COVER is in very good shape. Minor ringwear. Corners worn. Seams and spine show cracking, 1” split on lower seam. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket clean with writing upper right corner. Please see photos.
This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
