As close as Buddy Guy's ever likely to come to recapturing the long-lost Chess sound. Cut live at his popular Chicago nightspot, Buddy Guy's Legends, with guitarist G.E. Smith's horn-leavened Saturday Night Live Band and pianist Johnnie Johnson in lush support, Guy revisits his roots on sumptuous readings of "Talk To Me Baby" and"My Time After Awhile,"No outrageous rock-based solos or Cream/Hendrix/Stevie Ray homages; this is the Buddy Guy live recording that purists have salivated for the last quarter century or so.

Amazing! An unbelievable piece: What we have here is an unheard-of TEST PRESSING of this PROMO-ONLY Classic Records audiophile sampler taken, apparently, from Buddy Guy's live  "Live: The Real Deal' (1996).

(c)             The record is  apparently pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

·       COVER: This reference pressing comes without any custom jacket, and will be shipped STILL SEALED  in a plain, generic, white cardboard cover.
