Description
You are bidding on "YOU SURE CAN'T DO" and "THIS IS THE END" by BUDDY GUY and His Band on ARTISTIC 1503 released in 1958.
George (Buddy) Guy was born in Lettsworth, Louisiana in 1936 and appears to be alive and still active in the blues.
I'm not a big Buddy Guy fan, but "You Sure Can't Do" is an excellent Chicago blues, with a super stinging guitar break. Highly recommended.
I traded a record to the late collector/producer George Paulus for this when I visited him in Chicago in 1973.
Artistic was a subsidiary of Cobra Records, a west side Chicago blues and R&B label that went under when the owner, Eli Toscano, was found floating in the Chicago River.
Condition: It looks and plays nice, I'd call it a VG+.
