Description
Up for auction are two original LPs from the early 1960s by Buddy Holly. Both are the UK releases and not the US ones. The Buddy Holly Story was released by Coral Records and That'll be the Day by Ace of Hearts, both part of the Decca Record Company Label. Both LPs are original first releases and belonged to my mother who bought them in the early 1960s. They have only ever had one owner, and whilst played at the time are in immaculate condition. Also included is an original 1958 single by Buddy Holly - "Raining in My Heart" with "It Doesn't Matter Anymore" on the B side, once again released by Coral Records in 1958. This also belonged to my Mother and has remained in the family along with the above two albums since she first bought them. The original internal sleeves are included as is the paper sleeve for the single. The glossy front covers and matt reverse covers of the LPs are in excellent condition and this set will be a great addition to any Buddy Holly or Rock 'n' Roll collection. The Buddy Holly album is the black label version which I understand to be rarer than the later purple release. A no reserve auction.
