BUDDY HOLLY's "That'll be the Day"

1961 Decca Mono LP (Album)-- DL 7807

NO RESERVE AUCTION w/LOW STARTING PRICE!

This album is listed on page 557 of the current edition of Goldmine's Standard Catalog of American Records. This album was only released in 1958 and 1961. This is the nicest copy of "That'll be the Day" that I have ever seen! I hope that you will enjoy it as much as I have. Some of the pictures are a little fuzzy, please accept my apologies.

The album cover: VG+

• There is no ring wear, no splitting, and the colors are vibrant!
• Flaws; there is a rough bottom corner, some bending and creasing to open slot, two almost invisible small creases on the front which I only saw under bright light, and a more serious crease on the back upper left hand corner (crease on white -picture). Also, there is a penciled in price of "3.98" on the back of the cover on the upper right hand corner (I didn't attempt to erase it).

The Vinyl: VG+

• It's Shiny! There are basically no flaws but, a few light scratches (and fingerprints) can be seen. The label is bright with Decca's color bars on a black background with silver print. The label is near perfect with slight fading on some of the black and either a crease or spindle mark on side 1. The photos are taken at particular angles in order for you to see the flaw on the label. Please note it is BARELY visible under normal viewing conditions. Also, the photo of the vinyl appears to show a flaw on the right side, it is NOT on the record, just dust and glare in the picture.

The Interior Sleeve: VG

• A piece of history, the inside sleeve features the albums of various other artists from the late 1950's through 1961. The colors are gorgeous but the bottom of the inside cover is split in the middle, not completely though.

Some locations do not offer insured shipping so, buy at your own risk if this describes your country.

REFUNDS AND RETURNS:

I try to accurately describe my items. But, I am not an expert! After receiving your item, I will allow three days of review for most items (unless otherwise stated in auction). If you feel that the item was misrepresented and I agree, I will refund your money minus shipping costs. Granted, the item must be returned to me in the condition that it was in when I shipped it! I recommend insurance for this reason. If the item is damaged during shipment, I am not responsible for it:) As you will see from my feedback, I have yet to experience any problems with a transaction! I hope that this trend will continue.
