BUDDY HOLLY AND THE CRICKETS, The Chirping Crickets, 1B/1B original 1958 UK vogue Coral LP.
LVA 9081, original 1958 UK first issue 'Vogue Coral' mono record labels.
A UK album in original condition, featuring:
1. a hard to find first issue UK 1958 album featuring the earliest, 'Vogue Coral' record labels,
2. earliest first issue UK 1958 outer sleeve, featuring:
a. earliest original UK 1958 'half moon' design 'flip backs', with the earliest 'date' printed on the rear, lower right corner of, '58.3', being, '1958 / March',
b. on the rear of the sleeve, the town name of, 'Lubbock' has been 'mis pressed' to read, 'Bullock !',
c. the rear of the sleeve features the spelling of, 'Maudlin', but on the record label, this name is spelt as, 'Mauldin',
3. earliest first issue UK 1958 'record / labels', featuring:
a. hard to find first issue UK 1958 record labels featuring the earliest, 'Vogue Coral', the design of the record labels were soon changed to read just, 'Coral',
b. the record features the earliest, 'mother / stampers' of, '1B / 1B',
c. the record features the earliest 'record matrix' of, '1B / 1B',
d. earliest record labels featuring a 'textured surface' and a deep 'outer groove',
4. comes with its original, 'Coral / Decca' inner sleeve.
CONDITION:
THE OUTER COVER: is in 'very good' condition, the front and rear of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in 'good' condition. The sleeve features the original UK period, 'half moon', bi 'flipback', ie fold over edges to the top and bottom edge. There are NO tears, pen writing on the sleeve. The spine has a split in the centre and there is some of the usual 'age related' laminate peel. There is some old 'sellotape' residue to the front, top edge and to the rear, top edge.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in 'very good' condition and is the original UK period ‘Coral / Decca’ inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing or tears to the inner sleeve. There is a split to one of the side edges.
THE RECORD: each side of the record is in 'fair' to 'good' condition. The record is made of the period quality 1950s 'thick heavy' vinyl.
The records matrix is: MG 6036 1B and MG 6037 1B,
The records 'mother / stampers' are: side one, ‘1 B', and side two, ‘1 B’, the earliest you can have,
THE AUDIO: each side of the record plays 'fair' to 'good', each side plays with 'ticks', 'pops' and 'crackle'. The record lays flat on the turntable.
THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in very good condition. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
MY GRADING OF THE RECORD AND SLEEVES IS BASED UPON THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

Please ensure that all items are paid for by at least one week from the end of the auction. I reserve the right that if payment is not received after one week of the end of an auction the item will be offered to the next highest bidder, or the item will be re listed.
Postage and packing.
All records posted to a UK address will be sent 1st class and to be signed for on delivery.
Packing - all records are posted with multi layered card stiffeners for protection. Before posting, the record is removed from the records original inner and outer sleeves, the record is then put into a second inner sleeve to minimise any damage that may occur while in transit.
The record / sleeves are then put into a plastic sleeve for further protection.
Discount will be given on postage for multiple purchases.
In the UK – there maybe an additional cost for insurance as the seller has no protection if the item goes missing in the post, therefore post and packing charges may vary.
I will send records anywhere overseas.
All records that are posted overseas will be sent ‘signed for on delivery’ and there maybe an additional cost for insurance as the seller has no protection if the item goes missing in the post, therefore post and packing charges may vary.
In non EU country’s an ‘import tax’ and a couriers ‘clearance fee’ may need to be paid, this is down to the buyer to pay these fees.
