Description

Rare VG+ stock copy of Buddy Holly's classic "Words of Love" b/w "Mailman, Bring Me No More Blues."  Probably the most sought after of the Buddy Holly/Crickets 45s, as it didn't sell; having been released after "That'll Be the Day" but before "That'll Be the Day" caught fire and scaled up the charts breaking Buddy and the Crickets as a major act.  Had "Words of Love" been released some weeks later, it likely would've been a major hit like "Peggy Sue," but it was lost in the shuffle.
A favorite of the Beatles and Paul McCartney, who has covered it.  Not a perfect copy, but both sides play through nicely.
