This 78 visually grades a very scuffy V+ with an even covering of stacking rubs and scuffs (probably from being played on a fifties stacker-changer) and a few light surface scratches. Better heard than seen! Grooves are in decent shape though. I've put this gem through my Spin-Clean record washer and, after playing both sides all the way through (a pleasure it was), I can report that even though this record looks like heck, it plays great for the grade - nice and loud, more like a solid E- record with less surface noise than you might expect and just a tick or two detected. There are china-marker marks on both labels plus a tiny crack under the label aper on side 'B', going nowhere near the playing area.
While you won't be putting this in your pristine rock and roll 78 collection, the disc should be perfect to wear out on your heavy-armed juke or lo-fi changer. This one isn't showing up all that often these days. Good luck.

78s come in used but nice vintage green sleeves or, when possible, original paper sleeves.
I do my spot-checking and play testing on a Technics 1200 turntable with a Stanton 500 cartridge using a standard Stanton 2.7 stylus. The amp is a mid-70s Pro-Linear with the mono switch activated. The speakers are small professional recording studio monitors (Yamaha NS 10) that are known for being overly bright – great for spotting that mild surface noise!
I ship 78s as I like to receive them - using the four-sheet 10” cardboard sandwich, foam chips, 12" x 12" x 4 "(or 6") box method.
I use standard 78 grading (E+, E, E-, V+, V, V- etc). I’ll sometimes use double plus or minus signs to really hone in on the shape.

CANADIAN BUYERS – the shipping calculator will give you rates for surface shipping. Also, since I’m mailing from British Columbia, 12 % HST (on shipping only) will be added to the invoice of all Canadian orders.
ALL OTHER INTERNATIONAL BUYERS - shipping calculator rates are for airmail. International surface shipping can take a long time to reach you – up to two months – so is not recommended.
